Skipcart is a delivery platform providing same day and on-demand delivery for a variety of industries. Skipcart prides itself on its expansive owned and partner courier network, feature rich API and industry agnostic approach, while offering scalable and reliable outsourced delivery solutions to our partners.
To use Skipcart, you will need:
- An active Skipcart account, and an API key
- Your Store Pickup + Delivery locations need to have delivery date and time picker enabled
Connect Skipcart with Store Pickup + Delivery
- Create a Skipcart account : https://express.skipcart.com/
- In Skipcart, go to the Profiles tab
- Add a credit card so your account becomes active
- Copy your Skipcart API key
- In Shopify, go to Apps > Store Pickup + Delivery > Settings > Last Mile Delivery
- Find Skipcart, and click Activate Skipcart
- Enter your Skipcart API key, and click Activate Skipcart
Your Skipcart integration should now be activated.
First add a support email address. This is an email address we will use to tell you if there is an issue while sending the delivery to Skipcart.
Next, choose for which locations from which we will send orders to Skipcart. You will need to add a contact name and contact number for each location.
Delivery rates with Skipcart
While Skipcart has rather affordable pricing, you can earn more by charging a higher delivery rate than Skipcart.
To charge on top of Skipcart delivery rates, add either a flat amount or a percentage in the handling fee section.
You can enable free deliveries for orders above a specific value however these orders would not be sent to Skipcart.
If you disable the Skipcart rates and use our app to calculate the delivery rates, the orders will not be sent to Skipcart.
You must use Skipcart rates if you want the orders to be sent to Skipcart automatically
To enable Skipcart rates, check the "Enable Skipcart rates" checkbox as shown below and give the rate a name.
As mentioned previously, you can enable free deliveries above a certain value but these orders would not be sent to Skipcart.
Editing an order
Skipcart does not yet support editing orders, if you need to edit an order you will need to cancel the order via Shopify and recreate the order.
Skipcart do not yet support tracking orders via Shopify, you can track your orders via your Skipcart account.
Errors at checkout
If you are using Skipcart to generate rates at checkout and Skipcart do not have any drivers available in the area, Skipcart will not return a rate and an error will appear at checkout.
